Product details

The life of a seawater pump is limited, even if maintenance activities such as replacement of sealing and impeller are performed regularly. The reason for this is corrosion, which is caused by the constant condensation of the pump even if the engine is at a standstill, as well as material removal due to erosions as a result of the high flow speed of the seawater inside the pump housing.
OEM quality.
Often small but steadily increasing leakages, usually at the bottom of the housing, are signs of a pump's demise. At that point, you should think about a replacement.

Sea water pump MD2040
After the drive pinion had been removed from the old pump shaft and screwed onto the new shaft, the pump was very easy to install. The new pump does not have to be opened for this! Tighten 4 screws with a 12 ring spanner and the pump is fixed! Tighten the hose clamps and the engine will run again. That shouldn't be a problem for a screwdriver. Finally spray over with Volvo-Penta Green and the pump looks like it was always there. I will write how the pump ultimately proves itself in operation.
