At SVB, everyone has a say in making things better for our customers! We thrive on new ideas and continuous improvement and believe that an agile, international team can lead to success. This starts with the way SVB is managed. Founder Thomas Stamann is joined by his wife Justyna, son Andreas and daughter Judith in making decisions about the direction the company is heading, and this has been the case for several years now.
Over 15 nationalities in a single location
Our company language is German, but you'll hear many languages when having lunch in the kitchen or walking through our offices! Our employees come from far and wide, including Mexico City, Paris, Bordeaux, Napoli, Casablanca, Zaragoza and many other places around the world.
We know how important the right diet, sport and nature are and the role this plays in making people happy. For increased job satisfaction,we provide weekly fresh fruit baskets for everyone to enjoy.
The place we work is important. We want to encourage creativity and provide the best conditions for our staff to be successful in their day to day activities, which is why our office space is bright, green and tailored to the needs of our employees.
Dogs are welcome!
We allow office dogs to regularly join their owners at work.
In July 2022, after two years of postponing, we were finally able to hold our big summer party for our SVB team. 'Summer Breeze' was the theme and together we had a wonderful day at Beachclub Nethen. It began with some facts and figures, then the team activities got underway. Afterwards, some went to the aquapark, while others tried wakeboarding and a few went for a relaxing ride on a pedalo. To keep us going, a tasty barbecue buffet was served and we finished off with great music.
Boat builders, electricians, engineers, engine experts, experienced sailors - every SVB crew member offers their own area of expertise. We have created the SVB Academy so that all of our colleagues can benefit from this know-how and give the best possible advice on the phone. Knowledge is shared and learnt together in a relaxed atmosphere during training sessions on topics such as dealing with grey waste, achieving an expert paint finish, installing electrics and how to work with adhesives such as Sika.
English for all levels - from beginners to the almost-professionals. Since mid-April 2015, the SVB crew has been learning English. Due to our growing number of international customers and our staff's desire to improve their English language skills, SVB has hired a native speaker from London, England, who visits us several times a week to teach English. English grammar, technical vocabulary and above all lots of laughter! No matter the department, sales, marketing, logistics or IT - the SVB English course brings employees together from far and wide.
We are a 2nd generation family business with young children of our own. We know only too well how difficult it can be to combine family and work. Which is why we offer individual flexible working hours, including the possibility to work from home, and make it easy for mothers on their return to work, including part time working options.
SVB partners with Hochschule Bremen City University of Applied Sciences
SVB has been in close contact with the Bremen City University of Applied Sciences "BIM" degree programme
for several years and will provide further support as a cooperation partner beginning in 2023.
What is the BIM degree programme?
The Business Studies / International Management (BIM) degree programme combines traditional business
education with a strong emphasis on global operations. Two foreign languages are continuously taught,
such as English, French or Spanish. Students from partner countries also spend a few months in Bremen,
where they complete an internship.
