A question about:
Gas Spring for rodkicker
Michael G.
on Jun 6, 2020
Replacing gas spring on Selden Rodkicker.
Based on info on Selden site, which shows differences between Type 10 and Type 20 as being defined by plastic end cap, my existing Rodkicker appears to be Type 10,
Two questions:
1. The correct Type 10 SVB gas spring appears to be Item 42214, but what “hard” does mean in the description versus “standard” for the alternative Type 20 part.
2. I see in picture one of the plastic end pieces but not the other. Does the SVB part come with one, or both, of the plastics parts. If not, does SVB sell these parts, and of not, who does? The plastic piece on my existing kicker is seized.

A question about:
Main Panel 301
Michael G.
on Oct 7, 2021
Is this panel exactly the same as the original on my 2006 33 Bavaria Cruiser?
I have seen comments from others on the Bavaria forum stating that this panel offered by SVB is different. The comment says that “Bavaria made some changes on the Panel and added some sockets” and that “SVB advised they do not have the suitable panel anymore”.

I called SVB, gave them my year and hull number (2006 Bav 33 Cruiser), they called Bavaria to confirm the panel would work on my boat. Bavaria confirmed that indeed it would. I bought it and had it installed (took about 10 minutes) and it’s working perfectly.
The panel was identical on the front and had slight differences to the electrical components on backside, but everything my boat needed had an exact home on the new panel.

Hi Michael, I just read your question. Great to learn it is working well in your boat. I ordered it for a 2008 Bavaria 39 and it works well as well.

Same issue her, completely stuck on the gas cilinder. Did anyone find where you can buy this Selden part 319-586 ?

The same. However I put quite some effort to get it apart. Cut away the corroded cylinder, drill the small diameter hole in the centre, use rigid bench drilling machine to make hole as cantered as possible. Gradually increase diameter of the hole. When hole diameter is close to the inner dimension of the tap, use some small file tool manually. Scrap out the remains of metal with a small screwdriver and a hammer. Finally, use tap-tool to renew the thread. May take an hour or two.

Main Panel 301

On SVB I bought new Panel 301 for Bavaria 36 Cruiser (1.026,00 EUR) and I saw that the new one is differend as an old one. It contain more fuses. Because I did not found it on intranet, I ask SVB if it have description (manual) for this type of Panel 301, but it answered me with suggestion that I ask other SVB customers?!?!
So, dear SVB customers, do you have description for new Panel 301? (sorry for stupid question).
