A question about:
AXIOM 9 / Touch

Good morning!
I have an old Raymarine system on a sailing yacht, built on SmartPilot S3, standard option on most yachts - autopilot, wind speed and direction indicator, depth, wind meter, GPS antenna, radio, MFD A65. On your website I bought Raymarine AXIOM 9. How to connect it to the system now? How to connect A65 and Axiom 9 in this system? Now all devices are connected directly to SmartPitlot, without the use of connectors and special wires. I still have AIS from Naviom. https://www.naviom.com Has WiFi but it would also be useful to connect it via cables (NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183).

I have a Axiom 9. But it is connected via NMEA0183 gateway from Raymarine to my old SmartPilot system. Via this gateway the Axiom receives wind and AIS data fom the old bus system.

Thank you friend! What specific device do you use to connect Axiom and Smart Pilot? In one article, I read this: ... Is it possible to connect the SPX directly to a Plotter?
The Raymarine SeaTalkNG network is used to exchange data between instruments. Below an example of what is and is not allowed. Ensure that the network power supply is not displayed. The power supply can come from an SPX autopilot or from the switch panel.....

You will currently have two networks, a SeaTalk1 network and a NMEA0183 network. The S3 autopilot seems to act as an interface between these two systems. Your new Axiom9 no longer has these two interfaces; it has an NMEA2000 connector. You will probably be able to connect to your new plotter using the E22158 converter kit (Raymarine part number), which converts all SeaTalk1 data to NMEA2000. But the AIS receiver must be connected directly to the NMEA2000 network, because SeaTalk1 did not know the AIS data set yet.
