1A question about:
PICO Blue Package
Michele H. asked
on Oct 1, 2018

Hi Michele, hi Stefanie. I hope you don’t mind me answering in English. I would like to inform you that we are just days before the launch of a new firmware update that enables PICO to connect to a router as a client. Meaning, the App will be able to communicate with PICO via a router, not just directly.
The second stage is remote monitoring, which is still in the testing phase and requires to enable port forwarding on a router and to obtain a static IP from the operator, so for a little more experienced users. However, please note that routers can draw significant energy from the batteries and this is not intended for leaving the boat for long periods of time without charging the batteries.
For such cases, we are working on a cellular module, which will draw very little energy and require fewer user settings. The module will be available in Q2 2019 and will come with a subscription plan. It will also be compatible with existing PICO systems.

Jaro,
are you saying that remote monitoring will only work with the new module in Q2 2019 and a subscription plan??
I've got plenty of Solar. Batteries always fully charged. My router draws 7W, which I don't call significant.
