A question about:
Mechanical Rotary Drive for Autopilots / Type 1 / 12 V
Darius V.
on Oct 24, 2019
Will you recommend the gear motor type 1 / 12v (model no. M81135) for the 36 feet (6000 kg displacement) sailing yacht with the wheel steering? Suppose, there is enough space below the deck to mount the motor and transmission elements. By the way, what are the overall dimensions of the gear motor? Are there drawings or some reference for the mechanical installation of it? Thanks in advance.

You can use this drive for a sailing ship up to 10t displacement. Please find all available information for assembly in the installation instructions, which you can download under the following link: https://raymarine.app.box.com/s/t6sr89ljtwacf2pxfs18/file/15856873943

A question about:
EV-100 Wheel Pilot
Darius V.
on Dec 7, 2019
The EV-100 P70s Wheel Pilot Pack does not include the rudder sensor. Does it mean the rudder sensor is not needed? Nevertheless, ACU-100 does have the input for the rudder sensor. Also, installation instruction suggests connecting the rudder sensor. Can anyone explain if I need to buy and install the rudder sensor? Thanks.

You do not have to use the rudder position sensor and especially with the EV100 systems this is often not technically feasible. The EV autopilot also works without this sensor. But it works better with this sensor. The more information an autopilot has, the better the performance.

4000 RPM Tachometer / 85 mm

Hello. Will this work with Yanmar 3HM35?

4000 RPM Tachometer / 85 mm

on Aug 7, 2020
I can not get this thing to operate properly. I’m trying to mate it with Yanmar 3HM35. Connected according to the instruction, which came with the unit. When the engine is started at idle (roughly 500 rpm), tacho readings immediately go to 4000 rpm, which is complete nonsense. Entering the setup regime and decreasing the ratio from 10.0 to 1.0 does not change anything. When the engine is stopped, the readings go to 0, which indicates some kind of sensitivity to the tacho sensor. The sensor is checked to provide a nice meander of 0 to 12 V. The frequency at idle is approx 1kHz. Changing engine rotation speed does not change the readings. I want a good advice or my money back.

In the pictures, the chain entrance is on the starboard side. Can this windlass be ordered (or assembled) with the chain entrance on the port side?

Is it possible to replace the included 2-meter cable with the standard Raymarine's 5-meter spur cable?

Dear Darius, no it is not possible. You have to bring the backbone strand with backbone cable and T-pice or In-line Terminator to the transducer.

Adapter Cable SeaTalk NG to NMEA 2000, female

Can this be used to connect B&G Vulcan plotter with Raymarine EV-200 Autopilot?

Hi, Dragos.
I am not sure about Vulcan, būt I'm connecting together Raymarine, Garmin and Lowrance devices by their nmea2000 ports. I use Seatalkng as a backbone, and connect Garmin/Lowrance by the seatalk/nmea adapter cable. Note, you cannot connect two devices directly, only using the backbone in between.

Which adapter should i use to connect B&G backbone with Raymarine ng backbone?
Darius V. answered
on Feb 24, 2020
If chartplotter is a single b&g instrument in your network, then you probably don't have the "b&g backbone". In such a case you just buy nmea2000 to Seatalkng adapter cable and plug it between Vulcan's nmea2000 port and your existing Raymarine backbone, if there is at least one free slot. Electrically nmea2000 and Seatalkng are the same. If there are no free slots in your Seatalkng network, then you will need to extend the Seatalkng backbone with the t-branch and some peace of Seatalkng backbone cable to make additional slot. Read your Raymarine manual for how to do it.

If you have SeaTalk-NG cabling on board and the B&G plotter is to be used as an additional Devicenet component in this network and the B&G plotter has an NMEA2000 connector, then this adapter cable is the right one.

I have plotter, radar and depth on B&G backbone and autopilot on Raymarine. I want to add an i60 wind instrument and use one of its 2 ports for connecting with spur cable to the seatalk backbone and the other port, using this adapter, for the b&g backbone. Is it going to work with this cable?

You must order 1 pcs of the part No. 56302 which contains 2 lines and is more economic than ordering 2 pcs of 56301 which contains 1 line. All depends on how many lines you need which is usually 2 one for portside and one for the starboard side. I guess manufacturer has taken care of the case that 1 line is lost or destroyed and someone might need only one to replace possibly a broken one. Kyriakos

I'm next to Kyriakos to confirm part 56301 contains a single 11 m line. I have bought it for 18 ft boat, so 11 m is perfectly sufficient for both sides.
