After 5 years again this cheap combination taken. The material of the old ring had already become very tired due to the UV and seams had burst on the escape light. The lifebuoy with the holder is good. The holder can be easily (only) attached to a pushpit or similar.
The emergency lamp that comes with it is the cheapest piece of junk! When the lamp hangs upside down in the holder, gravity is supposed to push the batteries away from a wire and into a spring. But that often doesn't work. Even when there is a lot of swell there is still contact and the lamp lights up or glows very slightly. This means that after a short time the battery will be empty anyway. Of course bad if you really need it. In addition, water always collected in the lamp.
I would be better off buying a single lifebuoy and a good marker buoy too!
