I used this primer to renovate the plastic roof of my VW bus, which was badly damaged by hail. Vehicle paint, clear coat and base coat, sanded and gel code sanded. Be sure to use a machine with very good suction and wear at least an FFP2 protective mask. I applied this primer in 3 coats with the roller. Then 2 coats with a 2K boat varnish.

Good osmosis primer also for WoMO high roofs made of GRP
I used the Hempel Light Primer on the GRP high roof of my motorhome. After massive hail damage, the roof needed to be renovated. Most car shops have little to no experience with fiberglass parts. That's how it was for me too. I completely sanded the car paint off the roof. Please use high-quality respiratory protection. The roof was then coated with three coats of Hempel Light Primer as osmosis protection. The application was carried out with the roller. Correctly adjusted, base hardener thinner (see above) I achieved an excellent leveling of the layer. When adding dilution, a little is better than a lot, helps a lot.

I use the primer as a top coat to restore the gel coat above the water on my 46 year old 22 foot sailboat. I've used it to repair minor damage in the past, the color never really matched, so the whole ship has now been painted. The Light Primer is easy to work with. Good layer thicknesses can be achieved with just a few passes. If you let it set a little, the mass can also be filled with a spatula. It can be sanded just fine. The finish is matt and somewhat textured with the roller but can be polished to a high gloss if required. A final coating can thus be dispensed with.

It worked well. Unfortunately, after about 15 minutes, the foam roll has dissolved. But if you take that into account and replace the role accordingly, the result is excellent.
