finally electric
I discarded several electric motors because they didn't have the built-in battery. The engine comes complete with everything and with a "Quick Guide" manual in multiple languages (including Italian). A more complete technical manual is missing.

Just awesome
I bought this engine for my 2.25 m dinghy. Absolutely brilliant in terms of the workmanship and performance of the engine. Extremely quiet you can soon say noiseless. The battery and tiller can be connected and dismantled extremely quickly in just a few simple steps. If the battery should fall next to the boat, don't panic, it floats. This motor is a clear buy recommendation

Ruhig und leise
We got the engine for our dinghy (QuickSilver 320 Airdeck). The first test drive. The engine does what it should. He takes us from A to B. You shouldn't expect a rocket, of course, given the size of the boat. The motor is super light and it can be easily attached to the railing (AB bracket). As always, delivery was very quick. Thanks to the SVB team

It's ok but...
So the engine itself is not bad. However, I wish I had bought a more powerful model. The "2HP Equivalent" thing is nonsense. You have to give full throttle to achieve a similar speed as with my 2HP petrol engine with 13 gas. And then the battery is empty very quickly. In addition, the propeller broke when it fell 50 cm in the cockpit. It's made of some weird composite material. That would have mmn. can be metallic as with petrol engines. That holds a lot more. But hey, you have to be more careful. The ease with which you can bring the engine down to the dinghy or up to the boat is of course very great.. you can even do it with one hand. And everyone loves how quiet it is. So electric motor? Yes, definitely. But you have to adjust your behavior and expectations a bit compared to the petrol engine.

Processed materials
Aluminum corrosion appeared on the drive after just one use. This shows a really bad choice of materials. Otherwise the engine works as expected. Still, I'm rather disappointed.
Under these circumstances, I wouldn't buy a Torqueedo a second time.
