Good quality, easy to use and maintain, no technically demanding details such as hydraulic brakes and derailleur gears. Ideal for onboard use. Safe driving behavior and a good driving experience.
Ideal for excursions in the area, city visits and shopping.
Unfortunately very disappointed with the manufacturer
I bought two bikes for our sailing trip. The gear shift on one of the bikes didn't work, so I had to adjust it first. The fork had the holder for the cable leading to the motor on the wrong side. This was solved by the manufacturer using cable ties. The gearshift is mounted in a mirror image so that the numbers are upside down. After a year of use, the battery stopped working. Manufacturer's note: "The bike should not be used in the rain". But what if it starts to rain on a bike tour (by the way, the bike is sold on yacht sites)? The battery has a switch that is not protected from rainwater. Means that water got into the switch and caused corrosion. The manufacturer's response to replacing the battery was that there was no guarantee for the battery. I was offered a new battery, which costs about as much as half a bike... And now the kicker! After 2.5 years of occasional use, the front fork broke on both sides of the axle. Fortunately, at very low speed when driving off a curb and not at full speed downhill! God forbid my wife had a guardian angel... I've been waiting for a new fork for months now. Both bikes have now ended up in the trash can (battery etc. disposed of in an exemplary manner, of course). Thank you for this great product and especially the goodwill from Seatec. SVB has nothing to do with any of this, this is simply an evaluation of the manufacturer Seatec and its product.
Purchased two years ago, this bike has never run properly. Engine inactive. Returned during the warranty period at SVB's expense, it returned without having been repaired. I took it upon myself to solve the problem. Turns out it was the pedaling sensor that wasn't working (SVB didn't even notice!). I disassembled the crankset and realized that the electric wires were damaged at the exit of the frame. Repair by welding, the Re bike works perfectly. DO NOT EXPECT ANY SAV FROM SVB!!
A pedal arm fell off while riding, and I fell and fortunately only slightly injured myself. This can happen, but it shouldn't. But then the odyssey began. Since I live on an island, I offered SVB to send me the spare parts to grow them myself. The arm that was delivered was wrong, I was then informed that the right arm was no longer available and would also send me a sprocket for the right side. After the package arrived yesterday, I realized that the sprocket is too small. Deficiencies can always arise, but the way SVB handles the complaint is outrageous, they respond to emails very slowly or only after a telephone inquiry. I have the feeling that there are only salespeople there and no one knows the technology.
Big disappointment.....bought two bikes of this brand....taken on board for the first tour...because such beautiful products....unfortunately the third time the bikes were set up the folding mechanism broke....apparently completely wrong calculated ... and of course part of it fell into the water .... I'm curious about the complaint....
