Scrap, which unfortunately has no alternative. After all, the depth gauge goes to the end. Temperature measurement dies first, then the log. Arimar really dares to sell crap like that.
Actually far too expensive for a product that has to be replaced every few years because the thermistor of the integrated temperature sensor gives up its ghost. This is now the fourth DST800 in 9 years. Raymarine or Aimar are aware of the problem, but cannot solve the problem. And of course the thermistor dies its death only after the warranty expires. In the absence of competition or alternatives that can be seamlessly integrated into the system, the customer has no choice but to buy this scrap. If you have the opportunity, you should look around for alternatives.
Even my transducer had problems after 4 years, now the speed no longer works. I was thinking of replacing it with dst 810, which however is very expensive
I installed the encoder about 4 years ago. I'm currently in Panama with my cat and I'm faced with the problem of having to get a new encoder....not so easy here.... The encoder no longer transmits a speed signal, so the true wind isn't displayed there either this is recalculated via the speed. I can only agree with the judgment of the other commentators. Unfortunately, I see no other option but to buy this questionable product again.
