Nach meinmen Kenntnisstand werden beim 3JH5E unterschiedliche Keilriemen - je nach einbebauter Lichtmaschine - verwendet. Beim VerkaufKauf sollte unbedingt die Teilenummer angegebenkontrolliert werden.

According to the offer (catalog and online), the sent keel strap should be intended for a Yanmar 3JH3E engine. To make sure the size was right, I contacted you by phone before ordering. When asked about the circumference, I was told that it was 1250 mm. However, the outer circumference of my existing V-belt is 1730 mm. When another employee asked whether the 1250 mm was the outer or the inner circumference, I was told that it was the inner circumference. This also works, because with a V-belt height of approx. 8 mm, the inner diameter is approx. 5 cm less. Then I ordered the V-belt. However, upon delivery it turned out that the keel strap is too short. A re-measurement showed an outer circumference of 1135 mm. The marking on the packaging only indicates a length of 1125 mm. This meant that the V-belt couldn't get over the pulleys it was supposed to drive. On your online site you can find Yanmar V-belt for alternator for this article. I also asked you for this description, because on the Yanmar 3JH3 E the V-belt drives the alternator and water pump. If only the alternator was driven, even the above 1135 mm would be too long. I was told that this also meant the water pump. (Then why is only alternator written?).

Zu kurz zu breit
The V-belt does not fit my Yanmar 3GM30F. It's too wide and/or too short. When the alternator is completely folded up to the engine, it cannot be opened. It is significantly wider than the existing V-belt and therefore does not fit completely into the V-belt pulleys. Due to the resulting larger radius, it is too short.
