The heat protection hose has a good insulation effect and does not fuzz.

The Webasto heat protection hose for the exhaust pipe insulates very well. The surface only gets moderately warm.

The product advertising image shows a protective hose that is slightly larger than the heater's exhaust pipe. That's what I expected. A protective hose was delivered, the inside being several times larger than the diameter of the exhaust pipe. Advantage The diameter is exactly large enough that the exhaust silencer also fits. That's great. Disadvantage The rest is much too big for the exhaust pipe! It takes a lot of work to reduce the diameter of the protective hose with cable ties, and it only looks suboptimal. It would be better to deliver a separate short hose for the silencer and a hose diameter that fits the exhaust. The heat protection hose gets much hotter on the outside than I expected. Hope not too hot, experience will tell. Therefore only a mediocre rating. It can be done much better.

Webasto exhaust insulation sleeve is well-made and effective (exhaust is cool enough to fit with insulation in place). It is also expensive and requires the removal and straightforwarding of existing installations. No provision for brackets supporting the exhaust.
