Installed on Twister Sailboat before ocean passage UK to Valencia.
It worked perfectly and I was visible to traffic more than 25nm even in 4m waves.
Installation was simple.

Simple to Install and works perfectly.
Installed in 10 minutes on my Twister. Connected via 183 to my vhf so I can use the GPS position for DSC functions if my N2K network is off. It works perfectly.

Verified purchasein use on a Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH
I programmed the device with my MacBook. Wasn't difficult. I installed it in the boat myself. At the same time also a new radio antenna and new good mast cable!
The device was quick and easy to install and works flawlessly. I had imagined the necessary configuration to be much more complicated. Enter basic data such as ship builder, dimensions, mmsi etc., compare baud rates with those of the chart plotter and adjust if necessary. It's done quickly. Didn't take 20 minutes. I use NMEA 0187 in combination with a Raymarine chartplotter E series. I particularly like the built-in splitter, which allows you to connect the car radio in addition to AIS and VHF radio. The enclosed antenna for use in the cabin has worked flawlessly so far. Probably can't be beat for the price. German manual!
Seems to be a perfect AIS transponder for smaller boats. Programming was easy to do. Description very clear and understandable, connection easy to carry out.
Prodotto stupendo. Ma il manuale allegato in tedesco non è proprio il massimo.
Despite having all Raymarine equipment and a SeatalkNG network, I preferred this to the equivalent of Raymarine. It costs less, it also has an output for the AMFM readio antenna. The only flaw is the manual printed in German (found in English on the Internet) and the cable for the AMFM antenna is short

Superb product. Despite having all Raymarine instruments with SeatalkNG network, I preferred this product to the equivalent Raymarine. Also the FM radio output is a gem. The only downside is that the printed manual is in German. I understand that SVB is a German company but having it with the English manual is important. YES I know, I can print it from the site but if an Italian customer orders such a product, he accepts English but German does not.
All cables and indoor GPS antenna, installation and installation are easy. The cable with the serial interfaces (NMEA etc.) is well prepared with half trigger. I have used small Wago clamps from the hardware store to easily connect the very thin cables, luster terminals also go. What does not work so well is the automatic test of all components at startup. My very bad antenna was recognized. Here a check helps, how far the AIS range reaches ships within a radius of 10 nm should be at least recognized. A new antenna has worked wonders for me, sometimes even the cable in the mast is heavily oxidized or wet inside. The AIS transceiver including splitter to the FM unit and the decoupling of the FM radio signals work in total without problems and flawlessly.
Good device for integration into on-board electronics
Thanks to the antenna splitter, I only need the marine radio antenna for AIS transmission and reception, the radio and VHF radio. the NMEA 2000 connection lets the AIS targets appear on the plotter, NMEA 0183 is also available. ( Position data for older radios without AIS but with DSC) Unfortunately, there is no configuration program for Linux. (The interface is not recognized under wine)
Transponder with low power consumption and easy installation; AMEC warranty works well
I bought this transponder for convenient installation and low power consumption. It performs as advertised. Unfortunatly at the end of the first season it started to have an intermittent failure on switching between VHF and AIS mode. I mailed about this to the manufacturer or AMEC (alltekmarine.com) and they promptly offered a free replacement under warranty. This was executed dilligently by SVB. Email communication by svb could be improved, while email communication and service by the manufacturer was excellent.
Transmitter receiver on sailing yacht, low energy consumption, easy installation, GPSNMEA 184 data looped to Ray49, OK In operation a single disaster, since the installation of the USB interface is a random product. Works now only on the equipped USB socket. After that everything was fine. The included AIS Viewer is useless since neither the filtering of the AIS targets is possible nor any alarm function is programmable. The promised function of a card slot is not installed. Only at 108 and 108W. See manufacturer. Not available on the 108S. Wrong description at the dealer.
