I bought this device because you can connect a daughter device here. It is important to me to spark in the cockpit of the yacht and not always go to the basement to call the lock master. The ICOM is now installed and put into operation. Programming the MMSI and ATIS is easy and safe. The controls and buttons have a rich, high-quality click. The menu structure is clear and the orientation in the functions is easy. The noise reduction function is particularly impressive. Without any background noise or crackling, the voices can be heard from the ether as from the hi-fi system at home. So it was absolutely worth spending € 100 more, not having bought a discount spark, and receiving a lot of convenient advantages in sea-going communication. With Icom you are always right, and with this device again special. The menu structure is as clear as the whole operation. What you need technically is in or out. A very good device.

I am a new customer at SVB. The wide range and the market conditions made me curious. The DSC system was delivered promptly and safely packaged, with German user manual (on the website was only the English mentioned and offered for download). Any time.

My 8 year old Raymarine Ray55 did not receive GPS position anymore from the external Raymarine GPS transmitter (€ 250 replacement cost). So it was an easy decision to switch to this great Icom device. The wood recess had to be slightly enlarged for the flush installation. Installation went smoothly. But then banges long wait, because after simple programming of the MMSI number it was called during the first half hour or so no POS and no TIME info available. Already at the point Trouble-Shooting read that in this case the device must be installed in a different location ... (Haha). Fortunately, however, then appeared the desired POS and TIME indication .. each time they were switched on, they appeared faster. Now it takes about 1 minute). A note in the manual would be very helpful! Unfortunately, the flush-mount kit must be ordered separately. I'm very happy with the spark - especially with the very good readability of the display, and the GPS!

Used in the sailboat. Good thing the GPS is built in.

No documentation in French and no guarantee of 3 years since the product is distributed by Icom Germany. The menus are entirely in English only unlike other VHFs on the market that have an interface in English and French menus, which makes it easy to use at sea. .
