Have been using this filter in our boat for a year. Use it daily, works perfectly with a whale water pump. Delivered clean, chlorine- and odor-free drinking water to Europe, the Caribbean and now especially in the USA.
The filters come at a price; The removed old filter (it was in it for about 3 years) showed no deposits or blockages (can be blown through) but still did not work. I hope that works now. Maybe pressure in the line is not sufficient? Is observed. Otherwise a good product that (hopefully) can be relied upon to filter out harmful substances and balteria.
Actually well processed, these filters have some weaknesses. If one pulls on the lower filter housing as usual with filters only lukewarm these are (with 3 filters 5 \ "and 10 \") still slightly leaking. You have to put the lower parts on well, otherwise it drips easily. \ R \ n \ r \ nThe 1/2 \ "inch connections are not DIN 1/2 \" worked but a little bit bigger than 1/2 \ "Well, maybe the Italians are a bit more generous in laying out DIN standards, you need a lot of Teflon tape to get a DIN connection 1/2 "external thread really tight. \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ nBut if you consider the price, you can get over such small mistakes , We have drawn a water sample in front of the filter and after the filter with the charcoal / wound applied and are curious what the assay results yield. \ R \ n \ r \ n
Completely unsuitable for use in a pressurized water system in sports boats. You need at least 6-8 bar to push the water through the filter, which a pressure water pump that produces 1.5-3 bar cannot do. I now use the filter in my domestic water system to clean the well water. Pressure loss about 50%.
