Fast delivery. The davit looks very robust but the bushes needed to make lateral movement easier. And without bushings the steel of the bearing tube will inevitably rule over time ...
Very good, sensible product ...... finally end with the AB motor up and down. Unfortunately, no carrying strap is offered for the AB engine. I had to order it at AWN. Would be useful to offer something similar.
I use the davit to lift the outboard and now that I've fixed it, I do it effortlessly. Unfortunately, since the oblique bar blocking brackets are fixed because they are welded, I had to have a new, longer bar made to raise the hook point of the davit and be able to lift the engine by as much as necessary to extract it from its bracket
The thread on the welded screw must be recut before assembly, otherwise the ring screw cannot be screwed in. In addition, it is important to ensure that the screw is exactly aligned with the thread of the nut.
I ordered this on-board crane so that I could easily lower my 5 hp outboard motor from the pushpit to the dinghy. The part will be quite solid and will probably serve its purpose. However, I would like to point out a few things that could be improved 1. Thread for attaching the support tube The welded nut on the pipe clamp is poorly processed. The thread had to be recut at the transition so that the screw could be screwed in completely. 2. No screws are supplied for fixing the base. 3. There is no assembly description included. not even a small sketch etc. Even if it is not that complicated and can be deduced from the photos in the item description on the Internet, something like this is simply part of it.
The connector supplied to attach the pipe to the railing did not fit over the pipe. We had to have it adjusted on site by a metalworker in order to be able to use it. Then the crane could be assembled and does what it should.
Received without problem, but during assembly a stainless steel bolt welded to the stem tube is defective (no screw impossible to screw) I have to tap it, hoping that it works. In addition, the bolts and nuts are missing for the assembly of the mast. Too bad for the price I expected better.
The on-board crane ordered by me does not correspond to the information in the prospectus. Here, the vertical standpipe is specified with a diameter of 35 mm, is delivered an on-board crane, in which the vertical standpipe has 38.7 mm diameter. Therefore, I had to have a transition pipe made for use at my own expense, as the on-board crane did not fit into a standpipe with an inside diameter of 37 mm attached to the deck. With a price including shipping of just under 350, - € this part is an absolute indictment for SVB. In the future, I will think about more orders with SVB and will give my experience to my skipper colleagues, especially since my phone complaint so far no reaction has taken place. The simple return of the part does not solve my problem. A very bad customer service.
