Product appeared in the online catalog initially overpriced. However, after inspection of the delivery due to high quality of the brackets, seals etc. OK. However, the supplied mounting screws for connecting the plastic base to the POD bracket on the pipe are clearly too short for "top" mounting. This should not happen at such a price, because this now leads to an unnecessary, annoying hardware store visit.

Top product - but - unfortunately, all the screws of the housing cover had to be shortened, as they 'loomed' in the blind holes of the closing edge, so the lid could not close tightly.

The relative high shipping costs are still annoying. Otherwise, I am satisfied as always!

This review refers to a model 3S, which I bought to install a Simrad NSS8 at the helm. The product looks quite stable and makes a good impression. The instruction to cut the cut-out for the device with the jigsaw, however, presents the greatest difficulties. The plastic melts back just behind the saw blade, of course, with a thick bead. I needed about 2 hours to get a halfway fitting hole of 245x171mm, where the statement of millimeters is almost a joke. When screwing together then came the big surprise. I could not screw in about a quarter of the screws. It turned out that the female threads were simply too short or not cut at all. With a tap I could help something. Unfortunately, this is still broken in the last screw hole. For this price I would have expected more by far. In any case I will be very careful when buying a product from Seaview in the future and prefer to prefer an alternative.
