The boat is regularly used in winter in the Cologne harbor. In the foredeck berth in a cold and damp winter under the foam mattress laid. When cutting, many fibers are released, which must be sucked up. After one day, the mattress was dry for the first time. After four more days she was still moist again, even though the underlay was raised on the sides. Conclusion: Every 2 days, the mattresses must be placed and the room heated. For the irregular use probably well suited, for the regular only (small) help.

Mattress underlay used beneath berth cushions. The material was easy to handle, and easy to cut to fit the berth but does leave a mess of small plastic filings. Mattress underlay is working to keep the area beneath the berth dry, still testing, but after two weeks use the berth remains dry.
