Very nice finish, but difficult to work. When sawing with the jigsaw glued by the hot saw blade, the saw cut partially again. The screws for the rear cover are not secured.
Since I had to replace the navigation instruments on my Bavaria 320, I bought a Helm Pod 8D-W (Scanstrut) after consulting with you. The "tub" of the device could only be assembled with a little improvisation, as the distance between the pipes is greater than that provided by the tub's mounting recess. It is more difficult to mount the "cover" with the navigation devices. Although it has to be tight to be waterproof, it lacks a precise fit. That shouldn't happen at a fairly high (not to say overpriced) price of a little more than 600 euros. The lid could therefore only be opened with the utmost strength, which should not make sense of the matter. The screws for the lid could hardly be screwed in. I had to replace some screws with self-tapping screws, as the thread in the tub was springy when the screws were screwed in and the screws provided did not grip properly. I would not want to call the product "scrap" because it ultimately fits and fulfills its purpose, but due to the problems described, there is only one "defective" for the accuracy of fit and the ease of assembly. I do not advise against buying the product, but point out the difficulties mentioned above, which make the price of the device appear disproportionate.
