The VHF marine radio antenna GLOMEX in connection with the AMEC AIS receiver CYPHO-150 brought excellent results. The range of over 20 nm was sufficient for me.
When I opened the package I found that the upper 10 cm were bent at about 30 degrees. I managed to straighten it with the help of two tongs. In someway the package was done wrong! Besides I found the description of how to arrange the RG 58-cable to fit well pretty bad. It is very small tolerances to get the correct fitting. I had to go up 3 times in the mast on my X-34 before I got a good function. I would prefer a system which is easier to control. L-E Sylvin

In the picture it look like you get the windex in the package, but you don't!! I find the windex in a store in Sweden so I solved my problem.
I installed the antenna with the help of several instructions. I connected everything very conscientiously and fixed it with cable ties. Unfortunately, I had to find out that I can't even transmit 0.5 nm in the lo range of my radio. Only in the hi area am I understood. Wouldn't buy the item again. After repeated questions, the product support almost didn't take place at all. Would have liked to have had a cable solution that could be screwed in place, and unfortunately it wasn't really clear anywhere that something like this would be delivered. It's a pity actually and the radio should be the helper in need. I really don't want to rely on it this season...
The antenna is very well made and does what is promised, but I can only advise against buying it! The coax cable is only clamped to the antenna and cannot be fixed properly, so that wobbles are inevitable, especially when mounting the mast
Unfortunately, GLOMEX only provides very cryptic picture stories as installation instructions - especially in this case. The information for a twist-proof connection between antenna and Verklicker missing completely. Here, a solution had to be found to connect Verklicker and antenna form-fitting.
It is urgently necessary to ask the manufacturer for a better assembly description (in German). Otherwise, SVB should create this for their own clients (as partially on their own initiative)
Very poor quality for this wind vane. Model \ "all plastic \" not very solid appearance, complex installation and completely obscure user manual ... Turns relatively poorly on its axis. \ R \ nI do not really recommend this system of wind vane on antenna.
Easy installation, good radio reception. No plug on the mast top, so the antenna cable must be firmly connected. The anemometer is a flop. No way to adjust it correctly. He also turns relatively heavy, the plastic dart was twisted in itself, have him thrown away, too bad.
for the Verklicker: \ r \ nThe wind arrow is totally unbalanced (flag clearly too heavy), therefore indicates wrong with heel or wave. \ r \ n \ r \ nThe friction in the bearing is quite high, so it is only 1-2 Bft. useful. \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ nThe instruction manual is incomprehensible, that the antenna must be shortened because of the metal parts in the holder of the verifier In order to be optimally tuned again, one has to guess pretty well. But to SVB, who responded to demand quickly and competently! Nevertheless, the product is moderate.
