Tolle Beratung, tadellose Lieferung und gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis
My more than 25 year old sensors (wind, plumb and log) have gradually stopped working. After several telephone consultations with SVB experts, I decided on avanSea products instead of Raymarine. They won't be installed until spring, but the sensors make a very good impression. I can only recommend contacting SVB to every sailboat owner. Great advice, impeccable delivery and good value for money
I've been sailing for over 30 years and I've never owned such a bad sonar log. The disadvantages - The logger always clogs up after 2 weeks of idle time and then doesn't work at first. The problem is probably the open blades of the encoder wheel. There dirt can settle in there and the water pressure when driving is also lower than with the closed normal donors. Very annoying. - The echo sounder works very unreliably. The transducer installation is perfect and without any paint etc on the transducer. In heavy seas or at depths below 3-4m (i.e. when it becomes important), the device very often displays incorrect values. Even in very heavy rain, probably due to the noise under water, only nonsense is displayed. You can hardly use the shallow water alarm either. Since it starts beeping again and again after 3 minutes, the function is just extremely annoying.
After a season, the device and the encoders are thrown out of my ship in favor of the Raymarine Tridata. The thing is just unacceptable. If you buy cheap, you buy twice...
I am still satisfied with my new depth gauge of Advansea. Ive sailed a few times yet, too depth-gauge keeps showing varying incorrect values. Suddenly from 5.8 to 0.9 meters fors example, as I sail into the waterway. I wonder what is causing this problem, Im very unsure now.
