The Holux M-241 is a simple and easy-to-use GPS logger. Two aspects must be considered when buying: \ r \ n1. The device is not waterproof, so you need a waterproof case if you want to use the logger in a wet environment. \ R \ n2. The supplied software is only usable for Windows computers. For Linux and MacOS, you have to make do with alternatives (bt747, gpsbabel). However, both of these are clear from the product description. \ R \ nThe warm-up times in the technical specifications are also optimistic, but that hardly bothers. The logger fulfills its purpose without any problems, in my eyes a good all-in-one device, whether cycling, hiking, paddling or sailing.

Delivery came promptly. \ r \ nThe logger is mainly used to track the distance covered by the dog during rescue dog work. \ r \ nThe logger works, I am satisfied.

Everything in it! \ R \ nA NiMH cell with 2500mAh lasts for about 14h without Bluetooth, with Bluetooth and continuous lighting still about 10, that's fine. Unfortunately, the cell is not loaded and because the shutter is a bit hakelig, a point deduction. \ R \ nThe display is informative, but not for bad eyes, because very small. \ R \ nIt sat with me slightly wrong, what I have corrected , If you remove the black PVC sticker with inscription UP, a Phillips screw comes to light. After loosening these you can easily pull out the inside. The display was badly glued on and gave the impression that it would continue to dissolve over time. 2K adhesive at 4 points has solved the problem permanently. \ R \ nThe reception is excellent and comparable to a TomTom Go950, navigation in the apartment, no problem ;-)) In addition to the manufacturer software ezTour (activation code is attached) there still: \ r \ n- BT747 \ r \ n- MiniGPS_V1.7.1 \ r \ n- GPS Viewer \ r \ n- Holux Logger Utility \ r \ nWith all programs together, the little part is really great to use, it lacks itself for GPS pros absolutely nothing! \ R \ nThe only thing that is not there: Glonass reception. Loggers that can do that cost twice! \ r \ nI have not yet embarrassed to receive too few satellites or too weak and the logged paths are absolutely accurate enough. \ r \ nFor smartphones that have poor GPS, the M-241 is also well-suited. \ r \ nThe active and circular ceramic patch antenna provides significantly better reception, like the most mismatched / too small foil compromise antennas. \ r \ nAnd brings the phone also significantly longer battery life, since at least for my GPS receiver by far the largest power consumers, twice as much consumption as the display at max. Brightness! \ R \ n \ r \ nAlso very clear recommendation, especially at the \ "fight price \" here in the shop!

Hello, we use this logger M-241 in the DRK rescue dog work. This records the search process of the rescue dog. We then use this data for the application documentation. We are more than satisfied with the logger. Can we only recommend. Lg. From the Westerwald

- Corresponds to the manufacturer's description and thus fully meets the expectations. - Very good: Satellite time can be corrected to local time (was not so in the description). - Work / reception position vertical is super-practical (on a cord or in a mobile phone pocket on a backpack). - Long battery life. - Display shows well the status, eg time. Is it possible to take a picture at the beginning of a photo walk to synchronize with the camera time? Operating manual requires a little trial and error.

Product is used in sports (sailing regattas, running, cycling, RC models). \ r \ n \ r \ n \ r \ nSupport for sailing regattas / RC models: fixed high recording rates of positions are possible. No \ "well-intentioned \" patronization by smoothing / data reduction, which may eliminate outliers, but which will also result in evasive maneuvers / maneuver errors. This kind of data smoothing can now only be found in the new speed record, but I can ignore it. \ R \ n \ r \ nOver my third copy in about 6 years. Since I was satisfied overall, I did not look for alternatives. Housing (especially battery compartment cover) should be more robust. For outdoor use quite shock sensitive (therefore already copy # 3). Good: Operation, over the years, more advanced and more flexible software features, such as preselection track mode, 1s recording. Also, the GPS performance seems to improve (initialization). New evaluation SW ezTour did not convince immediately (eg no easy assignment of time and map position), but since I may not have the overview of all possibilities including reformatting.

Robust device. For beginners and computer zeros complicated to read and process.

Very small display and therefore very small characters. Very high power consumption. The recorded paths that are rendered via Google Map are very good. For example, the cruising courses are very well represented when sailing. With course and time you can look good on the PC.
