ESS Energy Storage System
The Victron Multiplus-II is the key component in an Energy Storage System (ESS). Combine the charger / inverter with an external MPPT solar charger or a Grid-tie PV Inverter.
Remote monitoring and control
The Victron MultiPlus-II GX series has an integrated VE.Direct, VE.Bus (2x), BMS-Can (2x), USB, Ethernet and WLAN interface. These interfaces allow the Multiplus-II GX to communicate with solar charge controllers, batteries and other devices and thus always ensure the most efficient type of power supply.
This interface also makes it possible to remotely monitor your system and set innovative functions such as uninterrupted power supply, define load limits and manage the limited availability of mains power by the battery via your smartphone.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)
If the shore power or on-board generator is interrupted, the MultiPlus-II GX inverter then automatically takes over the supply of connected consumers in less than 20 milliseconds.
Peak power is often required for a limited period only. In such cases, the MultiPlus GX automatically compensates for insufficient shore power or generator output with energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e.. when consumers are switched off, the energy that is then available again can be used to charge the batteries.
Thanks to the high short-term load capacity, consumers with high inrush currents, such as LED lights, halogen bulbs or power tools, can also be operated.

The Multiplus charger / inverter combo acts as a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to provide power in the event of an input power source failure.
