The RS20S is designed to fit the flat profile of modern Simrad glass bridge displays and accessories.

High visibility display

The high-contrast black-and-white display is easy to read, even in bright daylight and sunshine.

Intuitive operation

A rotary switch allows quick selection of the channels. Large and clearly arranged buttons provide quick access to all essential functions. Dedicated buttons for channel 16 allow instant access to the emergency channel and are located both on the front of the radio and on the four-button fist microphone.

Class D DSC approval

The integrated emergency button enables automated DSC emergency calls. This feature also allows direct calls to other DSC-equipped vessels from a Simrad multifunction display, including direct calls to AIS targets (compatible display and AIS receiver required).

Three-channel monitoring function

Monitor the current channel, emergency channel 16 and another user-configured priority channels at all times.

All international channels

The radio is designed for worldwide use and supports all international channels, including the US and Canada.

My channel mode

Save your favourite channels for quick and easy access. A long press of the channel rotary switch takes you to My Channel mode, where you can use the rotary switch to select between your favourites.

Multiple search mode

Monitor all available channels or just your favourites. In both modes, priority can be given to emergency call channels so that you do not miss emergency calls and other important safety messages.

Easy installation

The supplied swivel bracket allows the unit to be mounted on the table, above the head or on a bulkhead. Flush panel mounting is also possible, with the unit being mounted from the front to match the flat profile of the Simrad Glasbridge display and accessories.

The DSC or ATIS function/menu is only available in the respective channel group. Please change to the corresponding channel group to use the respective functions.

Programming notes:

This device has to be programmed with your personal data, such as MMSI and/or ATIS numbers. You may carry out programming of MMSI and ATIS numbers yourself. Relevant instructions can be found in the manual.

As an alternative, we can carry out programming for a programming fee.

If you would like us to program your device, please let us know with your order. Furthermore, please enter your MMSI / ATIS number in the 'comment' field during your order or fill out our datasheet for programming VHF radios and send it to: datenblatt@svb.de.

If additional channels (e.g. dutch channels 30, 31 and 37) are to be programmed, we also charge a programming fee.
