Why must life jackets be serviced?
Automatic life jackets should be regularly serviced. This is to ensure they function correctly when needed. Regular servicing in compliance with the maintenance interval prescribed by the manufacturer is particularly important for self-inflating life jackets. Servicing ensures the reliable function of your life jacket for the next 2 years. If no interval is specified by the manufacturer, we recommend servicing 2 years after purchase for a life jacket with average use. Even if the jackets are "only" worn and not triggered, they are still exposed to heat, sun and salt, which means they can be easily subject to damage. SVB offers certified maintenance service by qualified personnel.
