Very good primer, good layer structure
I used the primer for the new color scheme on the sail drive (aluminium) and on the rudder (GfK). The primer has good opacity and its consistency enables a quick build-up of layers.
Price performance unbeatable good

I have not used the Plasmotec primer yet so do not know what thinner, if any should be used. It should give better protection without thinning.

Flag of English I have strange difficulties with applying anrifouling on my lead keel. I used Plasmotec on clean and sanded keel and painted it then with Seatec Polishing Antifouling, but there seems to some sort of an incompatibility issue. After four months in water the keel looks like infested with small-pox blisters and scars. Primer and antifouling just peel off in small patches. However, Plasmotec is said to be suitable for underwater areas and can be used on steel, aluminium, wood and GRP. Lead is not mentioned in this list of suitable surfaces? Has any one any experience or advice on this rather annoying problem? Should I try 2-component primer or is lead unsuitable as surface to begin with?

Flag of English Dear Sirs, I’m planning to buy Seatec hard antifouling for a 10m sailboat. Any special advises for painting? With this hard antifouling can I paint two hands paint (one over the other)? What primer shall I use? For how long this paint last over Portuguese waters? Dear Pedro, this article -#24217#- is a primer for steel, aluminium, wood and GRP. You will need 1-2 layers. After this you can use the hard antifouling: -#66680#-, here you will need 2-3 layers. On the side of the antifouling product also are processing instructions. The maximum time before immersion are 6 month. Yours SVB-team.
