Residual Current Device
Product details
This 30 mA Personal Residual Current Device (PRCD) protects you against electrical accidents on board, is designed for harsh conditions on board, is sealed water-tight, and is connected "flying" between a live power outlet and the power cord of an electrical load. The safety switch only monitors the loads that are connected to this socket. Maximum load capacity 16 amps or 3600 watts. Delivered pre-assembled with Schuko plug and coupling, total length 3 meters.
Details
- 230 V AC, max. 16 A or max. 3600 W
- Switch-off: double-pole (L + N)
- Trip current: 30 mA
- Tripping time: <30 mS
- Simple 2-button operation: green activation button (RESET) and blue test button (TEST)
- Function display above the RESET button
- Circuit breaker with control buttons and function display IP55 (jet-proof)
- Schuko plug/coupling IP44 splash-proof (when plugged in)
- Rubber cable 3 x 2.5 mm² (H07RN-F)
Note
- If required, the Schuko components can be replaced with CEE plugs and CEE couplings.
However, this should only be done by an electrician. - This item only monitors the electrical loads that are connected to it, not those in the preceding system.
- This residual current circuit breaker should be regularly checked for proper function after each connection to a power outlet and also after prolonged use on this outlet.
Operation and function test
- Plug the Schuko plug into a live socket, e.g. at the dock, in a hall, etc.
- Press the green "RESET" button.
The small display above the "RESET" button turns red, signaling that the 230 V AC is available at the outlet and that the FI is working. - Pull the Schuko plug out of the socket.
The red indicator turns off. - Repeat step 1 and 2.
The red operating display signals again that the FI is working. - Now press the blue "TEST" button.
The red operation display has to turn off immediately, which means that the 230 V at the outlet is switched off at the same time. - Following this test, press the green "RESET" button again.
The red operating display lights up again. Now the proper function is tested and a fault-current protected power supply of the connected loads is guaranteed.
