Product details

This NC70 wind sensor by NASA is wireless and features an NMEA0183 output. It comes with a receiver which is installed below deck and powered by 12 V. The receiver's output data is in NMEA0183 format.

The sensor, installed on the mast head, needs day-light to charge its internal battery. Once the battery is fully charged, the unit can operate for up to 2000 hours.

Works reliably. No cable in the mast, simple assembly. There is no indication that the wireless wind sensor only works with the new digital displays or via other NMEA devices. The old analogue displays from NASA look almost identical.
