Product details
A compact VHF reception unit to receive AIS data from surrounding boats. The NASA A.I.S. Radar has to be connected to the onboard GPS receiver. Similar to a radar unit, your ship is shown in the center of the display. The LCD display shows the surrounding ships in range circles. Data are displayed once you place the cursor on top of a target:
- course
- speed
- name
- MMSI number
- various other data
With the A.I.S. Radar you will see if and when a ship is on a collision course or if you can pass other vessels at a safe distance. Dimensions: 155 x116 x 60 mm. Operating voltage: 12 V.
Note: To operate this receiver / plotter you need a GPS connection (NMEA0183) and a dedicated VHF antenna for reception.
