NASA - Electromagnetic log with databox

Product details

This innovative, electromagnet log from NASA, provides precise information about speed, distance covered and further information. The special advantage of the sensor is that it features no moving parts, putting an end to the problem of paddle wheels getting stuck due to algae or barnacles.
The robust, accurate sensor generates an alternating magnetic field below the boat and measures the resulting electric field produced by the boat moving through the water. The control box converts the sensor signal to a pulse output to connect to the display. NMEA0183 capable. Speed range: 0.2 - 40 knots. Diameter: 50 mm.

Features
  • Speed, distance and other trip logs
  • Speed range: 0.2 - 40 knots
  • NMEA0183: Yes
  • Diameter: 50 mm
  • Cable length: 5 m

NOTE: This electromagnetic log transducer is only suitable for GRP hulls.

The Raymarine ST60 speed log display has a paddle wheel input, you need the EML-3 electromagnetic log transducer to display speed on the ST60 display.
