Product description
As everyone knows: problems with the connectional components of computers, navigational software and even high-quality on board electronics frequently occur. Usually PCs and laptops are only equipped with USB ports and possibly a serial interface as well. The NMEA shipmodule multiplexer provides the solution. It bundles NMEA0183 data with 4 inputs for NMEA transducers, GPS, SeaTalk and AIS, combining them into a single data stream output to or from a computer. The USB and the USB/WiFi versions also include the option to control the autopilot - a fantastic simplification indeed!
This multiplexer has the following interfaces:
- 1x NMEA2000 interface
- 1x WiFi module

INavX, Weather4D et Avalon fonctionnent. Navionics Boating ne fonctionne pas. Par défaut, les données reçues ne sont transmises sur le port SeaTalk1. Il faut le configurer pour cela. Ensuite, tout dépends de ce que l’application est capable d’envoyer et de ce que le pilote est capable de comprendre. Dans tous les cas, il n’esr Pas possible d’envoyer une route au pilote. Le pilote reçoit des instructions de direction. C’est l’application de navigation qui gère la route. Il faut que l’application soit capable d’envoyer les instructions de direction au pilote. (Avalon, par exemple ne le fait pas.)
