Product details

Do you already have an AIS receiver / transmitter on board, but you want to display AIS targets / SART features? Then the SEATEC Multifunction Repeater MFR-6 is a perfect complement to your existing system!
The MFR-6 shows incoming NMEA data such as wind, GPS, depth, speed, autopilot and AIS. Therefore, this device presents a reliable second display below deck, in combination with the AIS6 on the fly.

The MFR-6 at a glance:
  • AIS SART warning system and display
  • AIS Screen
  • AIS ship list
  • NMEA multifunction display
  • NMEA Multiplexer

1 = Wind data, 2 = Depth, Speed, Temperature, 3 = AIS-, Wind, Depth, Speed, Temperature data, 4 = AIS receiver
The SEATEC MFR-6 displays incoming AIS targets via NMEA on a bright, high-resolution display. Display on so-called AIS screen, all details of the received AIS targets are also displayed in a clear AIS ship list. Another outstanding feature is its ability to handle received AIS SART signals. The device allows you to focus incoming AIS SART emergency calls at first sight and to differentiate between test releases. Just like AIS targets, so-called AtoN (Aids to Navigation) are also received and displayed.
You can integrate the MFR-6 into almost any NMEA0183 on-board system, e.g. to transfer the received AIS data to other AIS-enabled devices. Furthermore, NMEA data such as AIS, depth, log, wind and / or autopilot data can be displayed on the MFR-6. Through the internal NMEA multiplexer it is possible to output the incoming NMEA data via an NMEA 0183 output (38.400 Baud) to other devices.

Combinatie van Seatec Plotter NAV 6 en SEATEC Repeater MFR-6
Seatec Repeater works in conjunction with the NAV6 plotter. Both works exemplary, only the NAV 6 I has so many setup options that you can lose the way. But you will get a screen with the options you want. It's nice to sail on running water eg the wadding in combination with C card gives it the strength of the current and the times of ebb and flood. Through the repeater, he accurately displays the AIS signal and projects the ships provided with AIS on the chart of the plotter. The advantage of this combination is soldering four cables of NMEA 0183 and connecting to the VHF antenna and you have a good overview of your environment.

Flag of English I have Seatec data cable (type 098551) for MFR-6 with following wire colors: yellow, orange, red, white, black, green, blue and brown. Documentation does not recognise this color combination at all (!) Does anyone know what is the correct pin configuration (ie. which pin is connected to what color) or what is the connector pin layout. The female circular cable connector has 8 pins and label 'ALTW'. Knowing the exact connector type would also solve the problem.
