The McMurdo FastFind Crew 1 AIS MOB beacon features semi-automatic triggering and a host of other functions to quickly identify the position of the person in distress and assist local rescuers in locating them. This AIS MOB beacon is compact and light, making it extremely easy to carry.

The FastFind Crew1 AIS transceiver features water and manual activation options. It boasts a high-powered battery for 36 hrs activation time. The high-strength LED signals SOS message to detect and aid rescue of the person in distress in low light.

Thanks to the robust housing construction, the AIS distress transmitter is waterproof with 50m immersion depth and designed for use on board. The McMurdo FastFind Crew1 AIS MOB should be part of every personal safety kit.

The FastFind Crew1 AIS MOB is supplied with a clip to attach the unit to a life jacket strap and an additional clip to attach the AIS beacon to the life jacket’s oral tube. This clip can be installed on either side of the mouthpiece.

Manual activation
Manual activation is done by pulling off the red antenna cap to release the antenna and then pulling the activation tab off. The AIS distress transmitter immediately starts to determine the position and then transmits the AIS alert message.

Automatic activation
To enable automatic activation, the red antenna cap must be removed beforehand to release the antenna. As soon as the water sensor embedded at the bottom side of the device comes is immersed in water for more than 3 seconds, the AIS distress transmitter is activated and then transmits the AIS alert message.
