Since its founding days, VETUS has been developing new products from conception to market launching and is constantly working on their products' designs and specifications. Their goal is to make travel at sea even safer with reliable on-board technology. The feedback from customers, shipyards and designers is always taken into account. This is how VETUS products continue to meet the highest quality standards, allow an easy assembly and guarantee reliable operation.
In 1974, the development of the first VETUS engine began, based on a Peugeot block. In 1982, VETUS introduced the first bow thruster for sport boats and smaller commercial shipping vessels. In 2008, MAXWELL and MAREX joined the VETUS Group. With the help of MAXWELL, VETUS now offers its customers professional anchoring systems, capstans and winches. MAREX has made it possible for VETUS to provide its customers with tailor-made boat windows and hatches. Last but not least, the V-Quipment brand rounded off VETUS' expansive product range for boat owners with their wide selection of pumps, deck ventilators, components and accessories.
VETUS produces their products according to ISO 9001: 2008 standards. All VETUS products comply with the CE-Directive for pleasure craft, according to the Marine Equipment Directive (MED) or ABYC for the American market, and they have been tested and approved by the Dutch Certification Institute (DCI) in the Netherlands as well.
