LEWMAR SYNCHRO blocks:
The incredibly optimized block geometry, the revolutionary free spin bearing and the self-aligning head of the block ensure 40% friction reduction compared to conventional system. Each component of the block is synchronized with the line movement for an optimised transfer of load from the sails to the deck, all with extremely low line wear. Shackle post locks by pressing a button.

Conditionally suitable for a main sheet on a Beneteau Oceanis 50 Family
Beneteau installs a targa bar on sailing ships over 40 feet in length (see httpswww.beneteau.comdepage-innovationtargabuegel). These stand-up blocks for guiding the main sheet are installed on this. With a patent jibe (unfortunately hard to avoid in the charter business) it can happen that parts of the plastic (wings for diverting and guiding the sheet onto the reel) break and fly away. Due to the missing "wings", the bulkhead can no longer be held on the roller, so that it slips off the roller and becomes wedged between the roller and the remaining plastic guide. In the worst case, in addition to the stand-up block, the main sheet (more than 50 meters !!!) must also be replaced.
