Product details

Safety LED emergency light with MED-SOLAS approval. Automatic ON when in the upright position. Light Type: LED flash light with 60 pulses per minute. Rugged, waterproof housing. Dimensions: 160 x 80 x 80 mm. The emergency light is supplied without support bracket. It has to be purchased seperately. Railing Bracket for 20 - 30 mm rail diameter. Matching screws (M6) are not included.

Note: The emergency light is not supplied with batteries. One alkaline type D battery is required for operation. Be sure to affix the battery with tape in order to guarantee a secure hold.

Light activates randomly when mounted in the bracket
It is unreliable emergency light because it activates randomly when it is mounted in its own holder which makes it useless for emergency situations since you never know if the battery is discharged or not. I bought two of them and this erratic behaviour is identical in both.

Poor
I got this light last season and must say it works not as expected. It turns on when in standby (upsidedown) position and discharges the battery down to zero. Not a stuff you can trust when needed.

This emergency light is good value, we bought it in 2020 but it didn't work very well from day one. It often turns itself on even though it's correctly upside down in the holder and there's almost no movement in the ship. It even switches itself on in quiet inland ports. Amazing Despite everything we have never had to change the battery....
I would rather pay more and buy a better engineered product.
