Product details

This splash-proof LED wall/ceiling light with LED touch buttons is durable and energy-saving (at warm white & max. brightness < 6W ). With simple keystrokes, the desired light colour can be selected and its brightness dimmed in 3 steps.
A particular highlight is the "remember" feature: the light remembers the last setting and automatically turns on with the same intensity.
But that's not all!
An externally wired spring return switch can also be used to operate the light in the same way as the touch sensitive switch. This allows multiple lights to be operated in sync to the same intensity level. Suitable for 8 to 30 volts. Light diameter: 128 mm. Light height: 25 mm. White and red light dimmable in 3 steps.

Technical question

Flag of English I followed the wiring instructions connecting a -ive, a +ive and a switched +ive. On switching on the power my two lights came on and began to move from briight, to dim to very dim to bright.... continuously . Turning on and off the switch on the console made no dufference. Touching the red, white buttons changed the colour but did not switch the lights on or off. I switched the live positive wire connections, no difference. In the end I disconnected the permanent live, left the blue wire insulated and unconnected. The lights work perfectly using the negative connected to the yellow and the switched live connected to the brown. Has anyone got an alternative set of wiring instructions please?

Yes, it is correct that the lamp receives its operating voltage via the brown and yellow wire. The blue wire is used to switch the light colour or dim the brightness in 3 steps. However, there must not be a constant voltage potential on the blue cable! The blue wire is only connected to either battery MINUS or battery PLUS for a very short time in order to switch back and forth between the light colour or to change the brightness. You have probably used an on-off-on switch instead of an (on)-off-(on) momentary switch. When you release a momentary switch (push-button), it automatically returns to its rest position (off). A switch remains in the selected switching position (and would therefore permanently connect the blue wire to a fixed potential). You can test it by first removing your switch and briefly touching the blue wire to the brown one. With each short tap you switch the red light on or off. Then when you tap the blue wire to the yellow one, you turn the white light on or off. If you hold the blue wire to the brown or yellow wire for a little longer than a second, you change the brightness of the respective light color.
