Hempel's Silic Seal is a two-component epoxy resin offering an easy transition from regular antifouling to the Hempel Silic One Fouling Release System. Acts as a bonding agent between antifouling and Hempel Silic One Tiecoat.

Application
In order to ensure that Hempel Fouling Release has the best possible adhesion, the surface must first be primed. SILIC SEAL 2-component epoxy primer makes it particularly easy to switch from conventional antifouling to SILIC ONE, as SILIC SEAL can be applied directly to previous antifouling coatings if they are in good condition. When using SILIC ONE for the first time, two coats should be applied. In subsequent seasons, one coat is usually more than sufficient. Then apply one coat of HEMPEL TIECOAT, then SILIC ONE Fouling Release.
After 24 hours the boat can be launched. Wait no longer than one month before launching.
Flat brushes or fleece rollers are ideal for applying primer and top coat.
