Lowrance HDS-7 Gen 3. The Art of Touch! A product family that combines functionality, advanced technology and an excellent price-performance ratio.
The new generation HDS Gen 3 by Lowrance brings all the advantages of modern navigation electronics with them. Technically it is a logical evolution of HDS Gen2 series, which has proven itself over the years on motor and sailing boats. The Gen3 series offers new multi-touch functions, as we know it from Apple's iPhone and iPad etc, as well as wide screen monitors in the comfortable sizes of 7", 9" and 12". Moreover, their operation is highly convenient because you have the choice between either touch screen or keyboard operation.
No less innovative is the new Chirp Sonar Technology which can optionally be integrated with the Gen 3. In combination with the already integrated echo sounder modes (Broadband Sounder, Structure-Scan HD and Down Scan) Lowrance's Gen 3 devices are strongly recommended for recreational fishermen and hobby archaeologists. Accordingly HDS Gen3 devices come fully equipped with built-in "sonar modules" which only miss the matching transducer (not included). Just get the transducer, connect it to the HDS device and explore the underwater world on the look-out for a big catch.
Precise position data is obtained from the internal 10 Hz high speed GPS receiver whose position can be displayed either on Navionics and / or C-Map MAX-N charts. All units are equipped with Wi-Fi to connect to Tablet PCs and smartphones.
