Product details

The GPS 72H has a high sensitivity, satellite signals are detected quickly and your position is determined even under the most difficult conditions. Waterproof to IPX7. Stores up to 500 favorites and is NMEA0183 compatible. For data transmission, the device is simply connected via USB interface to the PC. Information of tides, sunrise and sunset, hunting and fishing calendar.

Integrated 1 MB database, moving map plotter. High contrast FSTN display with 4 level greyscale and 120 x 160 pixels.

Das Gerät soll mir bei Angeltouren in Norwegen gute Dienste leisten. Gut ist die einfache Bedienung,über die Menüführung und zur Genauigkeit kann ich mich erst nach dem ersten Einsatz,der für Juni geplant ist, äußern.Danach könnte ich eigenlich erst mich genauer äußern.Die von mir abgegebene Bewertung beruht auf kleine Probe, im zu Hause Bereich.

Der GPS ist als Zusatzgerät gut geeignet. bei starker Sonneneinstrahlung ist das Ablesen recht schwierig. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist stellenweise recht dürftig bis mangelhaft. Ein Hinweis auf Software mit der über den PC Daten ausgetauscht werden können läuft ins Leere, da diese Software schon seit längerem nicht mehr verfügbar ist. Auf die neue Sotware-Version BaseCamp wird weder in der Bedienungsanleitung noch im Internet hingewiesen. Vor diesem Hintergrund und den 4-wöchigen Erfahrungen ( 500 sm ) ist das Produkt nur bedingt empfehlenswert. Garmin solte hier dringend mehr tun, insbesondere bei der Bedienungsanleitung, denn diese Erfahrungen schlagen auf andere Produkte von Garmin durch!
