Product details

The Reactor 40 hydraulic autopilot system features a high-quality SmartPump v2 hydraulic pump that is designed to be almost universally suitable for any boat. The pump automatically adjusts the maximum flow rate from 0 to 2.4 litres per minute depending on the boat. The brushless motor also provides longer service life, quiet operation, improved thermal performance, reduced power, higher efficiency and total reliability.
Delivery includes 5" control unit GHC50, control course unit (CCU), buzzer/alarm, SmartPump v2 incl. ECU and innovative Shadow Drive technology.

Responsive, flexible and reliable
The solid-state 9-axis AHRS (Attitude Heading Reference System) responds reliably to sea conditions to maintain course. In addition, the autopilot system offers particularly helpful features, including heading hold, wind hold, tack/jibe, step turns and more. It also greatly minimises heading error, course deviation, rudder movement and power consumption, giving you enough time to operate sails, lines, winches or radios. The system mounts nearly anywhere, in any orientation.

Integrated IRRT technology
The SmartPump v2 features a motor circuit and integrated IRRT technology (Intelligent Rudder Rate Technology). This lowers the rudder rate at high boat speeds and increases it at low speeds, ensuring optimal performance and safety under all conditions.

Chartplotter compatibility
Combined with a compatible chartplotter, the Reactor 40 can be controlled and steered anywhere on the boat. In addition to holding its course in virtually all weather and wind conditions, the system can smoothly perform a variety of preprogrammed trolling and search procedures. Plus, with a compatible Garmin networked chartplotter and optional BlueChart g3 Vision charts (sold separately), you gain additional functions, such as Auto Guidance with automatic route suggestions.

Stay in control with Shadow Drive technology
Shadow Drive gives you the option to take the wheel at any time with Autopilot activated. The autopilot is automatically disengaged if the helm is turned and re-engages when you hold a steady course.

Optional rudder angle sensor
Increase the performance of your Reactor 40 autopilot system with the GRF10 rudder angle sensor (sold separately).
