Product details

The wired Garmin GMI Wind Sail pack 52 includes the GMI 20 multifunction instrument, the advanced gWind transducer and the latest Airmar DST810 transducer with Bluetooth interface for easy calibration and data display (depth, temperature, speed) on your smartphone.

Modern components for a reliable display

Garmin GMI20 & GNX20

Garmin GMI20 GARMIN's brand new GMI20 multifunction instrument displays data such as log, water depth, temperature, wind, GPS data, tank contents and much more, both manually and automatically. It features a 4" colour display that is easy to read even from a distance and in bright sunlight. The device is compatible with the NMEA2000 data format and can therefore be integrated into most existing on-board networks.

Garmin GNX20 The GNX 20 marine instrument features an easy-to-read display with black digits on a white or coloured background. It allows you to easily read depth, speed, wind and 50-plus marine and boat parameters

Airmar DST810

The DST810 plastic thru-hull transducer reliably and precisely measures depth, speed and temperature readings in the water. Thanks to NMEA2000 and Bluetooth connectivity, data can be displayed in a variety of ways. The sensor can also be calibrated quickly and easily via the Bluetooth interface using the Airmar Cast App. The device can measure depths up to 100 m, speeds up to 45 knots and temperatures up to +40 °C. A 5 Hz signal output ensures smooth playback on your display device.

Wireless connection via Bluetooth also allows easy calibration of sensor data via the Airmar Cast app.

gWind Windsensor (wired)

The gWind-transducer uses Twin-Fin technology with a three-bladed propeller to provide more accurate data for true wind speed at very low wind levels. The twin-fin design provides more precise data about true wind speeds, and the three-bladed propeller ensures greater, constant efficiency.

In advance because the product is only installed
It was a long search to make a decision, through the long research and the combination with the Garmin 922 plotter it should fit well and I'm happy when my boat is in the water and I can test the devices. Will be sure to report on the use of this and many other products on my project. the project can be found at www.steel-buddy.com

Technical question

Question:

Flag of English No data coming from wind sensor. The sensor is rotating, cable is intact, GND10 black-box shows both networking lamps active - Nexus and NMEA. Both chartplotter (Garmin 723) and GMI20 do see the GND10 black-box in NMEA2000 network. However no wind data at all is being displayed. What am I doing wrong? Or is it just a faulty Gwind sensor I received in my order? How can this be checked please? Thanks in advance for any help or advise.
