Product details
Charge the battery of your SPIRIT 1.0 PLUS/EVO electric outboard motor from ePropulsion with this solar charger. The integrated MPPT technology (efficiency >99.9 %) precisely positions the maximum power point of PV cells to maximise solar energy yield. Suitable for solar modules with an open-circuit voltage (Uoc or Voc) of <35 V or other 12 V voltage sources. Thanks to the supplied 12 V connection cable, you can also connect the solar charger to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket and charge the outboard battery while driving. A powerful foldable solar module is available separately.

Technical question

I want to put my ePROPULSION Foldable Solar Panel on forward of my sailboat cockpit, on top of the companionway attached to the handrails. The cables to connect the solar panel to the ePROPULSION Solar Charger 31080 (a 65 cm long connection cable with MC-4 solar connectors to connect the 1.4 m long module connection cable directly to the charge controller) to the SPIRIT 1.0 PLUS/EVO electric outboard are not long enough for where I want to mount the solar panel. In another post, you mentioned that I could build a 5 or 10 m extension cable myself using the module connection cables 22308 (5 m 2x2.5 mm²) or 25761 (10 m 2x 4 mm²) as well as 1x the MC-4 connector set 22345 are suitable for this and this would allow me to have an extension from the solar panel to the ePROPULSION Solar Charger, but my goal is to move the ePROPULSION Solar Charger inside the boat and away from the stern of the boat since the ePROPULSION Solar Charger is not waterproof and the Stearn of my boat gets wet when we a sail aggressively.
I see that ePROPULSION PART NO 00-0601-09 Spirit 1.0 Plus Extension Power Cable 2 m connects the Spirit Battery Plus and the Spirit 1.0 Plus/Evo motor, allowing you to place the battery 2 meters from the motor.
Is that the only option for me to keep the ePROPULSION Solar Charger inside my boat? I would rather keep the battery on top of the motor, the ePROPULSION Solar Charger inside the boat, and extend the output of the ePROPULSION Solar Charger to the battery (2M away from the stern of the boat.
Any advice?
