12 volt DC connection cable with 3-pin plug for ENGEL coolers and cigarette lighter plugs, equipped with a special fuse with reverse polarity protection.
The front part of the cigarette lighter plug and the special fuse allow for the cooler to be connected to the 12 V DC electrical system. Without the front part, the cable can also be connected to a 24 V DC electrical system.

Details
- Cable length: 3 metres
- Wire cross-section: 2 x 1.31 mm² (16AWG)
- Special fuse with reverse polarity protection inside the cigarette lighter plug
- Permissible system voltage:
- With cigarette lighter plug and special fuse only at 12 volts!
- Without plug adapter also at 24 volts.
- Please pay attention to the correct polarity.
- Install a fuse on the POSITIVE wire near the battery (see below).
Information
- Only use the special fuse with reverse polarity protection provided by ENGEL.
- Please pay attention to the polarity of the voltage source.
- The tip of the cigarette lighter plug is the POSITIVE connector.
The side contacts are NEGATIVE. - If the cooler is to be operated with 24 V DC, the front part of the cigarette lighter plug must be removed.
As a result, there is no protection and no reverse polarity protection!
- The tip of the cigarette lighter plug is the POSITIVE connector.
- The circuit of the cooling unit must be protected by a fuse.
The fuse must be mounted as close as possible to the voltage source.
Please consult the manufacturer's notes in the operating manual for the cooler.
Unless otherwise specified, use 15A at 12 volts and 10A at 24 volts. - Make sure to use sufficiently dimensioned wire cross sections for the cooling unit circuit.
- Supplied with a second screw cap for the cigarette lighter plug. If the cigarette lighter plug does not fit into the socket, remove the front screw cap of the plug first.
