Frost preventer
I bought this heater to keep the boat engine compartment and water heater safe in the frost. It does that perfectly. I never tested how effective its "duty cycle" is in usual conditions and when the real cold spell hit I winterised the water heater and cooling properly so did not use the heater. This was purely because of the cost per kw for marina electric and that this is a 200w heater not a 55w tube heater. But that is not a fault of the heater.

Flag of English Do others have experience leaving this heater on when the weather is not so extreme? I installed mine just as the really cold weather came so it would have been running continously and I pay for marina electric at quite a high unit price. But if you have experience with the heater switching in and out and its economy I would be pleaded to hear.
