Whether maritime men's parka or club blouson, when you're on dry land, it's up to you what sailing jacket you choose to wear. It's a different story on board. You will find a large selection of waterproof jackets in our shop.
Choosing the right sailing jacket is no easy task. The first step is to know how you will be using the jacket, i.e. for what purpose. In other words, do you need your oilskin jacket for sailing offshore, inshore, or in coastal areas? If travelling exclusively in warm areas like the Mediterranean, a light jacket is sufficient. This can be either with or without a Gore-Tex membrane. If you need a sailing jacket that you can wear on a night trip without getting cold or wet or that you can use in the North and Baltic Sea, then you should choose a high quality jacket for ocean sailing.
