A trailer has to be maintained. All parts must be checked that they are working correctly and any damaged parts should be renewed, especially if the trailer has not been used for a long time. Check the tire pressure and that the breakaway cable is sitting correctly on the trailer hitch. Only when all electronic components such as trailer lighting, cables, plugs and adapters are working perfectly can the boat trailer be safely used on the road.
