Why do I need an inland radio system?

Which radio do I need outside inshore waters?

Marine radios for use outside inland waters use the INT channel type, which stands for International. Marine radios transmit at 25 W with a significantly higher power than inland radios. It is advisable to choose a marine radio with DSC function. DSC stands for Digital Selective Calling. VHF marine radios with DSC make it easy for you to make a distress call in an emergency, and you can also radio other boats directly using their DSC number.
