„Very pleased with it.
Not the cheapest Class B on the market but the following features make it worth the extra for me:
1/ Low average operating current compared with other class B transponders. Good for reducing battery drain.
2/ Built-in CPA/TCPA and anchor alarm functions means that you can still have protection without your PC/chartplotter switched on. Good for reducing battery drain.
3/ Data logger with SD card.
4/ Can be used with a PC chart plotter entirely from the USB connection. This is not made clear in the manual but is obviously an important feature.
Some parts of the English translation of the technical manual are a little unclear. Operation of the data logging and anchor alarm is not explained very well.“
A GPS antenna is required on boats wherever real-time position data is needed. Chart plotters, AIS transponders and the radio DSC function need up-to-date GPS data to work. GPS antennas can be connected to respective devices via different interfaces. To keep your on-board system in line with the latest technology and make sure your GPS antenna is compatible with any devices you may purchase in the future, we recommend using NMEA2000 GPS antennas.
